Orange & Snowman?

Yup, that's what my Potholder Pass swap partner loves.....orange and snowmen, so who am I to deny her?  I wondered how I could incorporate both into a potholder, so I just got out my snowman mini pattern from early January, made it a titch bigger, and used an orange background.  And ta-da!!!  An orange snowman:

The Last Snowman

Well, then I had to make something to at least match a little and what to do? Why not make teeny tiny squares in oranges, with fancy cut owls? I figured if I bound them the same, they might pass for a set. And so they did:

Well, I mailed them on Friday and she got them today and she loves them! I'm so happy! (Now, if I'd only get my doll quilt, I'd be a happy too! Sigh.........I'm still waiting!!!!)

  1. Don't lose hope on the DQ (but it would really bite if your partner flaked considering you made all the angel quilts)...didn't your mama say it had been sent?

Orange and snowmen - I'd say you nailed it with these honies!! Finally got mine made today. Hope to photograph tomorrow.

I'm not usually an orange fan but these colors really pop. I know your partner had to love them.

I sure hope your quilt arrives soon.
